In recent years I have noticed that many products have declined in quantity. This decrease, sometimes, is 10%, other 25%! However, it keeps the price (if not increases, cough cough).
I once questioned this practice with my father because he was good. He argued that it must offer in smaller quantities for those who have a lower purchasing power, buying certain products. Okay ... I understand. But that would create the product with the least amount for these, and of course cheaper too, but keeping the traditional, five hundred years. The problem is that the price stays the same, but with much less quantity.
Some examples that I remember:
- Gingerbread and the way (photo) - 400g to 300g. I mean, "IF" was a product to be used in one month (4 weeks), would the end of three weeks.
- Toilet Paper - 40 to 30 mts. That is, if you cleaned up with a package for 8 days, now only clean for 6 days.
