MPF opens public consultation on quality of 3G broadband in Brazil

60-day public can send information and opinions on the subject by email or letter

The Federal Prosecutor's Office opened the public consultation "3G Internet, customer service, quality, speed, continuity of service, contract and supply conditions." The purpose of the consultation, open for 60 days, is to gather information and opinions of all interested in the subject of the MPF procedure to instruct on the subject.

The MPF has opened a civil investigation of a representation from the association of consumer Protest, to determine possible injury to consumers in the face of poor provision of services by mobile operators to offer 3G broadband service.

On behalf of the entity listed in the total absence of complaints about service, low speed, offering different from what was offered and bad customer service and even false advertising.

For the prosecutor Marcio Schusterschitz da Silva Araujo, responsible for the procedure, the quality of service is guaranteed by the consumer code.
