Brazil among the biggest consumers of beer in the world
Did you know that Brazil is among the largest consumers of beer in the world?
According to the National Union of Brewing Industry (Sindicerv); Brazil annually consumes more than 10.3 billion liters of drinking. This number puts Brazil in fourth place among the largest consumers of beer in the world.
Heading the list of heavy drinkers worldwide are Chinese, with the mark of 35 billion liters year, followed by the United States with 23 billion and Germany with 10.7 billion liters.
These numbers, however, do not put the Brazilians among the major consumers of beer per capita in the world. The data indicate that Sindicerv with an annual consumption of 47 liters per capita, Brazil occupies the ninth position in the world rankings. The Czech Republic, the leader in beer consumption per capita records the consumption of 158 liters per inhabitant per year.
