Notebook: Off or Hibernate?
Personal
I searched around and the opniões are quite different ... then turn to some more experienced reader, who visit my blog.
In notebooks there alhum problem for the machine to put it all night for days to hibernate instead of shutting down? She wears the machine? Is it harmful? Or does not spoil anything in the notebook?
If anyone can give a little help, I thank you in advance
Maysa

People,
q discovered something makes notes consume battery even when switched off.
The problem happens in some of the windows 7 upgrade, now I'm trying to figure out which delas.Assim q, participate at all.
Hugs
APeople,
I enjoyed the staff, and I doubt generated a TBM. We know that hibernating or powered off, the note should not consume battery, correct? Well, I have a note hp, and a time out here, sometimes hang it on Friday evening, and only switch back on in the second, and in that period it consumes battery, something around 10%, and the same occurs qdo is hibernating, but these two cases do not always occur, only sometimes.
Anyone can say anything about it?
Congratulations for blog!
2Very good post, I liked!
3Well if someone there can help me, my not giving this a little problem because sometimes when I'm working it goes into hibernation, then I have to turn the power button and it comes back to where I had stopped before, like when you put on standby my is not a hp pavilion dv5-1240br entertainment PC. If anyone knows and can help me thank you. There are other information usually happens when I'm playing. Regards to all.
4not to take my book from standby??????
5Maysa face first like to congratulate her, because her blog woke me up some interest in "blog" because I am not a big fan of blogs already that most of those I consulted, almost nothing helped me put my doubts that your environment has a very intelligent, good conversation and goes deeper into issues, and not only to thank you but to all who participate ...
TIHH this is good for you and for everyone who can help me, as Caius Romao said ... "just a copy of the state from RAM to disk, or is taken a" snapshot "of memory at the time of hibernation, and this photo is recharged when you turn the machine "... if the pc or not back almost instantly since it is almost fully loaded ie less energy to turn agree!! well but that's another story ... WELL WE ARE INTERESTED TO THAT ... I'm my problem with a super NETBOOK not hibernate, detail've done all you guys so imagine not installed anything, but all commands already realized and nothing there ... someone can help me
My netbook is a philco phn 10103
atom
250 hd
2 gb ram ...
know it sounds ridiculous but I'm using windows 7 Ultimat, told me that not many would run but runs and runs cool can believe it already had a athlom amd x4 400GB hd and 4 gb of ram and it does not get very far since it was done for mobility
Thank you in advance and thank you all for your attention ...
6Just correcting Fabricio: LITHIUM batteries are not addictive.
7Hello friends I took a pass and took some questions, but I heard that a lition battery lasts only 400 cycles, ie 400 recharges it?
8= Stand By Hibernate
9It's like your TV. I prefer to turn off no contact with anything external rays on voltages, etc..
Look at your notebook or PC into hibernation you will have a good energy savings. may seem like just the tip of the ice imgina one more feather that falls upon something that is about to fall .. I enjoyed your blog and got this tbm leaving my fingerprints on the Internet. http://jovensadventistaspbl.blogspot.com/
Thanks and pass on my blog.
10To be honest I did not know very well the difference by reading the reviews I understand ...
11Hello Maysa,
The only drawback to leave the notebook on standby or hibernation is the lifetime of the battery.
Standby - it is still on but with low power consumption, when you get used a few minutes away, just after the time when the screen saver is visible.
Hibernation saves the current information and software to turn off the HD screen and when you wake up the same address, he returns with everything he had on screen
But in all cases, leave the notebook connected consumes battery life, if you charge the battery of the same, and then uses the entire load or most of it, maybe not, but if you leave it on for hours without decreasing the battery (notebook connected with charger connected to it), she is "addicted" in the high load, and when you need it unplugged ... it can leave you in the hand in a few minutes, depending on the case.
I recommend turning off the note, and off the same outlet after turning off the windows.
So you will have use of it for a longer time.
Hugs
12Friends,
I am very happy to have helped, and certainly many of the things I know today (which are still few) came from the help of others. Regis will be a pleasure to follow your blog always is left a little while, I hope that I too can learn a lot here and there. Big hug!
13May think it's cool ... so you said.
Now a thing was funny ..
".. The day, hibernate. At night, qd is sleeping ... "
but just think of this girl sleep, such is crazy!
auehauehaueae
14Kisses dear! Congratulations on the blog!
People
I appreciate too the participation of you, how have guided me, thank you!
Will do the following: day, Hiberno. At night, qd for sleep, turn off (ateh even for matters of security in regard to the downpours of BH).
Thank you and big kiss to all (the)

15PAUL SAINTS really is right in his assertion. Thanks for the information and invite you to follow my blog. It's great to have people in our ways that suit, comments are always welcome.
16Congratulations Maysa who can meet so many people with everyday affairs, clarified in an objective and colloquial.
Ah, the comments up there worth if you have a PC. If a mac, when you close the display it automatically copies the RAM to a file and enters the standby state, so that is a mix between Sleep and Hibernate Windows. You see 'cause even Bill Gates has Apple stock??
About shipping, never had problems - and carry it back, every day, in a normal backpack with a lot of books. Off? Only once every two weeks, and look there ...
17Wow!
This post from May generated content, huh?
hehee ..
But's it!
I agree 100% with your q my friend Paul said!
I ended up traveling when I spoke of the "flash" ... used the wrong expression, actually.
I think now there remained no doubt that this is the coolest.
May Congratulations by blog!
18And you guys a big hug that always helps!
Hello friends,
Just to complement two little things that can get confusing: The post CAIO ROMAO is technically quite right, so this is the definition of Hibernate.
In the commentary of TIHH has a section saying "Hibernate is to load the flash memory to the hard drive", which is not. Flash Memory and HD are two types of memory called "Non-volatile", ie memories whose content is not lost when power is turned off. Thus, RAM, flash memory is different. A "Pen Drive" uses flash memory, a digital camera card uses flash memory. RAM does not use flash memory.
And our friend REGIS Copperfield can rest assured about the ecological awareness of sleep: There is no power consumption in sleep mode. And for those who really want to test the difference, here's the method:
A1) Give a command "Wait" (also known as "Standby") in your notebook
A2) After completing the process, with apparent shutdown of the computer, remove the battery of the same. Then reinsert and turn on the computer again.
Hibernation in:
B1) Give a command to "Hibernate" on your notebook
B2) After completing the process, remove the battery and then reinsert it and turn on the computer again.
The result is that Hibernate (Case B) is stored in HD, which does not need power to keep your data. So, Windows is the same dot that you made. In the case of the state of waiting, as there is a minimum energy consumption by removing the battery you have stopped the process. The result? When restarting the machine, Windows around zero, fresh silva.
Hug!
19hehehe ...
Many people do this Fernando.
Alias, I'm a q will always see you online on MSN, for example. Even when I'm on the PC.
I see no big problem with it, unless the issue of heating of the processor. But if your PC is brand new now controls well over this issue, so do not worry you with it.
Now I would give a hint q's you have the habit of restarting the PC every day. I do this, whenever it come morning, I read the messages, some respond immediately and restart. Give in memory it will reset q is a beauty.
Hug buddy!
Note: I'm referencing this post in my blog. I think many people are interested in the subject. Q is not out of mere curiosity. http://www.tiago.art.br
20Good discussion and I, not I turn off the note. It is up to 10 days without shutting down, plugged in and battery power on! I do not know the estragos1
21The new devices practically shut off when in standby or hibernation, however there is a shortfall even minimally, since everything is connected to the lasting consuming power. My side ecologist led me to appreciate that I should turn off my toy in the evenings after the treat and do so for a long. I think that around the world millions of people do that the sum of the economy may be appreciable ... Give a permit rapid Maysa dear, I forgot that lit the bathroom light, turn out and I'll be back to continue enjoying your blog.
Hugs this fan.
22Maysa Hello! Was walking in the blogosphere and stopped in his corner ... prentendo loved it and come back more often!
After going there to take some tea with me!
Vc is BH??
Big hug!
23= ^. ^ =
Only by correcting the post of Clovis ..
When your computer "hibernates" .. he picks up the virtual memory (ram) and writes to physical (hd) ..
After this is done it shuts down the computer COMPLETELY, ie, the hard drive is off.
The way you talked q (qo hd is connected) is the "Standby State" ...

24The process of hibernation is designed to be safe. Actually, in windows vista, it works perfectly ... never noticed any crash since.
Just do not recommend hibernate when you move your notebook. Sometimes it can "wake up" and jerks on hard disk + do not match.
hugs.
25Maísa Hi, good morning!
Only complementing what our friend Caio said up there:
Hibernate is and what he said, put it in flash memory to the hard drive, so you to "wake up" to do the reverse process, and to you would be the same q had not left the computer at that time.
I do not advise to do that!
I use hibernate a lot, but as we all know (especially us who work in IT) that our beloved and esteemed "Windows" is ricidulamente unstable.
When you open an application such as Word for example, your Windows loads the dll's and other files used by the application. So far so good, the problem is that when you close the word he dispatches all these files. Some are still loaded in memory indefinitely. (I know, this is ridiculous, but this is the "all powerful Windows" .. hehe)
So the need to reboot windows is constant.
With a certain frequency you gotta "reset" the memory, because much of it loaded ta there, occupying space in your RAM, but not being used for anything ta.
Imagine you taking back a gallon of 20 liters of water being q ... you're not thirsty, S.
And detail ... if you hit that thirst is no water for every 100 meters.
got it?
I hope this helps.
I tried to be explanatory and not very technical, so as not to confuse you.
Great week to you dear.

Maysa,
Hibernation in the notebook (which can be done on computers including normal) is simply a copy of the state from RAM to disk, or is taken a "snapshot" of memory at the time of hibernation, and this picture is recharged when you turn the machine.
Technically, there is nothing harmful in the process and there is no power consumption while the machine hibernates.
If we touch the point of disk access, pointing perhaps to give some advantage of one method over another (but I have no data to say which of the two is the most expensive) - but given the time of life when both HD Flash Memory I do not think it is realistic to worry about a thing.
