Recovering data from damaged HD

After the virus that got in the last week, I made up an old hd (Maxtor 60 GB) who was here ... is removable, is in a case and connect the notebook via the USB port.
Backed up on it (all my personal stuff and some work), things work saved on DVD, formatted the note. Ok, back to the basics and installing the HD when I removable, nothing to recognize. It took minutes to list the drive in Explorer and when they came in and gave clicked error. Tried in another note, the same problem. As a last resort, I installed the HD in the computer of a friend with cablo flat, directly on the motherboard. Nothing. PANIC!
Imagine the scene ... your personal stuff, accumulated over a decade of desperate ... huh ...
I did some searching and found the tip to put the HD in the refrigerator . Follow the instructions and NOTHING 
Then I got the idea of searching for software to recover data from defective media. But he did not believe that would work, because neither could I access the HD via Explorer. After some research, I found the hint for the program EasyRecovery . A little skeptical it would work (for the reason described above), installed and run at the same time sent. Folks, behold, he sees my HD, is a time cataloging all the files and then asks me what I want to recover. I could not believe .. I almost had a gadget. It seemed a dream. Seems to me that ALL was recovered.

Remember: I bought this hd in mid-2002 and I remember having said: "This will serve me for life" ... lol, had already retired for years here. I got just to make the backup. Today use 80 GB internal + external 120 GB, 200 GB total and still have serious space problems

nosss maysa, exactly what happened to my 40GB of samsung, I thought it was only in the case of formatted hds, will go in my work, since they also have an external casing, and when I turn, it is not recognized and is giving Snaps each. I'll try, thanks for the tip!
