Study: Girls like blogs, videos boys prefer
Blogs attract more girls, while boys are more interested in publishing your videos on the Internet, according to a survey by the Pew Internet & American Life Project.

According to the study, 35% of U.S. Internet users have a blog and 54% publish photos online indexes, the boys are only 20 and 40%, respectively. Meanwhile, 19% of users state that they have posted a video on some sharing site, which, among girls was only 10%.

In the U.S., 64% of users are between 12 and 17 years develop at least one content type in the global network, an increase of 7% over 2004. Of that number, 28% are the recent subgroup 'multichannel', composed mainly of older girls.

Adolescents 'multichannel' are intense users of various communication platforms, such as telephones, mobile phones, text messaging, social networks, chat programs and e-mail, but there are differences as regards the behavior of boys and girls.

The mail, however, is largely ignored by American teenagers, since only 14% say they send e-mails to friends every day. According to research, incidentally, the group 'multi' is most interested in offline activities, or in social life 'Physical'.

Among all U.S. adolescent population, 31% say they have some kind of activity with friends every day after school. For 'multi', this figure rises to 35%, while 38% of users say they have social networks socializing offline all day.
